An overview of what we offer…
We plan on making a movie of an entire boudoir photography shoot in the near future, but in the meantime we would like to invite you to like and share our YouTube channel.
Some more posing ideas for your boudoir photography session, remember that these girls are paid a vast amount of money to look good and natural in front of the camera, your goal is to visit us and experience your shoot as an amateur and allow us to pose you correctly.
We often look to the stars for ideas, and that is exactly what we are doing with this series of posing ideas to assist you in achieving the perfect boudoir photos in you boudoir photography session with us. In this example Kelly Brook is posing for a calendar and acts as sexily as possible. Notice how she caresses herself and how she pouts, this is something that you can practice at home.
Many of our boudoir photography clients are doing a shoot for their partners and videos like this will give you some great ideas as how to practice in front of the camera so you can be seductive and alluring and give them the best images possible of you.
Although you don’t have top be a perfect poser or know anything about posing for your boudoir photography shoot, some of our clients have asked for examples on how they can practice, I have found these clips on YouTube, so have a look but it is certainly not necessary to be able to pose like these pro’s do but but Boudoir Posing Ideas part 1 is a step in the right direction to assist you should you want to start practising on your own.
I came across this blog the other day, written by Jen Brook an active professional model, this could be very useful to new and aspiring models and possibly some of our clients, Jen has some lovely ideas in it.
How do you pose, where do you place your hands, when you raise your hands are you moving your arm towards the lights throwing off the photographers light reading? These are all topics that she covers within the post, this will help you along when working with a professional photographer.
Posing and knowing how to pose are very important skills to learn as a new photographer, it is a skill you need to learn and practise every day. There are so many resources available to assist you learning. We regularly post posing ideas on our Pinterest site. You need to learn what your best features are and how they translate into a photograph. I would highly recommend that you actually book a photographer you admire to create some decent portfolio images for you. You may want to save up so that you can get a variety of images with different looks, outfits and sets.
5 ways to improve your chances of getting hired as a model:
For our boudoir photography clients, you can read through this but you don’t have to get it perfect, you not being paid to do a shoot so we will take that stress away from you and show you exactly what to do.
We will probably repeat this in future posts as we think it is really important topic. Many boudoir photographers will choose the images to be edited that they think are best for their clients. This, in our opinion should be our clients decision.
On every shoot we sit with our clients to help choose images and without fail images that we would not usually have chosen have been selected by our clients. The reason; “That’s me!” the client sees an image that they feel represents themselves as they and others see them, whether it is a quirky smile, raise of the eyebrow or playful look, that’s their look.
So imagine your disappointment when you are presented with your finished product, you go through your disk of all your images and there you see an image of yourself that you really like, but it wasn’t chosen for editing. Of course you could get it edited later, but we believe in getting it right the first time! We will be there to guide and assist you but believe as the client you have the right to choose your images.
After your shoot, we will give you around 30 minutes to chill, allowing you time to go through your missed messages or to simply sit in our massage chair and relax. During this time we will cull all of the images where you may be blinking etc. We will then colour balance the images and do a few other technical things. You will then get to see your entire shoot and put your images into a starred rating system. Any images with less than one star will be deleted once you leave. Together we will then narrow down your images to select the best ones from your shoot. This is probably the most difficult part of the shoot as there will be so many gorgeous images of you to choose from.
Every woman deserves to feel beautiful. Every woman IS beautiful.
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, what you look like, or what you do. It doesn’t matter if you have kids, or even grand-kids. Regardless of your stretch marks, scars, blemishes, or that tiny birth mark just under your right knee that irritates you to no end. You are beautiful.
In my experience as a model I’ve come to realize that every woman has insecurities. Even those women you look at and wonder what she could ever possibly hate about herself because, in your eyes, she’s perfect. From the likes of Tyra Banks right down to the average soccer mom, every woman has that something.
For this reason I think that anyone could benefit from a photo shoot. Just one, just once. Go on and treat yourself.
I know the common misconception is that only those leggy blondes in the Victoria’s Secrets catalogue can pull off Boudoir but that simply isn’t true. Not with the right photographer anyway. People compliment us all the time, they try to downplay our insecurities and most of the time it’s just water off a duck’s back. You know that saying “seeing yourself through someone else’s eyes”?
Well, the camera has a way of doing this. A lot of models will tell you that the lens sees them in a way that they never could, but the truth is that the camera sees you as you are, minus all the little things that bring you down.
When you see these photo’s, you see the real you. The sexy, feminine and beautiful person that’s really in all of us. And the opportunity to see this truth is an experience you’ll never forget.
So even if you only ever do just that one shoot just that once, it’ll last a lifetime. And you’ll realize that all those pictures you sit envying are taken of women, just like you. Women with hang-ups and insecurities. The only difference is that they were willing to take that chance. Are you?
A picture really does speak a thousand words so maybe it’s time you gave yourself a chance to listen.
